Hey man.. you never know.. some people on here take it to the extreme haha, I was ready to troll.. alls good! I still have it! It's in decent shape! Needs a good hone and should be good to go.

A nice liberal bead of blue high temp silicone will seal it if ya have problems. Works every time for me. I just start it up before it cures. It blows the extra out the pipe and that helps seal the exhaust flange too. 2 birds... of bead of caulk...(edited)

Re: Bought a puch..

Again, if you decide to sell the cast iron Metrakit, let me know.

Re: Bought a puch..

i ran the cast iron metra kit paired with a treats jammy pipe on my old maxi for miles and miles and miles.

If you don't go to high with the Ignition timing its fine.

I agree.. but I think itll do more long term harm than good.. I'm going to lower it some..

Oh man.. there is that option.. I didnt intend on this one being a total ripper.. I'm thinking I could run 93 octane, pull the timing back a little (points ignition) and watch the temps..

Re: Bought a puch..

I suppose you could increase the combustion chamber size with a thicker head gasket .

Of course , that would also change squish ...

If there's enough room between the edge of the piston crown and the top ring , there's always crown relief at the ports .

That would change port timing ...

I do want to keep the port timing as is.. so I might just pick the head up with a thicker gasket and deal with having a bigger squish.. I dont want it to run too hot as this is supposed to be a daily rider with some pep.. haha

Re: Bought a puch..

Crown relief is not a drastic change , port timing wise . It does quicken the transfer a bit .

Yeah maybe!

Cool. Got it down.. made a side bleed pipe.. used the header from the proma.. hits hard in the mids to highs.. awesome.

Thing rips pretty damn good.. now onto the rest of it. Forks, wheel bearings, wiring.. the fun shit.

Re: Bought a puch..

Interesting way of going with the side bleed below upside down versus the common way

Figured why not? Itll be something different! I think it came out coolio

Re: Bought a puch..

That bing is only on there to get it started and mess with the timing.. waiting on a vm18 to get here so I cant really start fuckin with it. From what I can tell so far, its gunna blast pretty good. The pipe actually rolls on pretty good and keeps pulling.. me like!!

Time to do the rest to this cool machine. Like good brakes! Decent forks! All the fixins+ It needs to get finished all the way so you can safely ride it.. when I ripped it it was awesome! But a bit a bit scary getting it back to zero.. lol I'm gonna add> it rails its ass off straight up past 8Gs for sure!
