Yes sir!

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

Impressive! Love the pipe, never seen one like it.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

did you need special pedals to thread on?

or do any pedals fit a moby?

I think almost any arm will fit and you get the pedals to match the arm.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

It's alive!

I had to change the ignition to get it to run

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

Sounds good! :D

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

I kept starter shoes just in case. I also still have use of my pedals.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

I have to add more weight because it's not variating at all.

starts right up...slick.

do you need more low end?

because of the terrain looks like your just barley twisting the throttle?

I'm 285lbs so I think I have enough torqe. Don't you?

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

What # gas strut are you using? 50# is perfect for the stock 3 ball, mild kit, stock pipe. I havent ever used the ceramic balls, if I have a 4 ball var I usually just use two steel balls.

Yes 50lb strut with 4 ceramic balls. I'm going to change them out for 2 stock balls and I also have a 30 and 40lb strut so I'll get it dialed in shortly.

No there is a 74 Yamaha RD 60 and 82 Honda MB5 in that pic.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

So I didn't like the idea of having to stack 2mm in base gaskets to get port timing right so I had these made. Now back at it!

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

Also I had the decompression hole deleted from the head gasket.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

Its not hard to start with no decomp?

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

I have a pull start on it right now because starter shoes wouldn't hold. The head came without decompression so that's out of the question until I machine a head to fit. But then the decompression hole is so close to the bore it could possibly blow the gasket there.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

yeah the 47 mm mbk heads tat i make for dos cycles, i find that about 2/10 cores are rejects because of how sloppy they machine that hole. I guess we had one from the last batch looked like it was good but ended up blowing out anyhow... probably not going to make them any more just for that reason.

i'm not sure if some of the higher end (doppler, etc) heads have the decomp machined farther out but there is only so far you can go for backwards compatability.

Re: Le Moped Resurrection

Dos is boss as usual!!!

Awesome build. Love it.

Where did you get the head bushings? Can't find any. I been searching and searching for one of them on my head, and then I saw a picture I took while tearing the moped down, it never had one!

Everywhere I look, sold out.

Thanks

How many of the bushings do you need?

I would need 1 bushing total. Somehow there was only one on there when I took apart the motor. Actually, I can't put this back together unless I get one I guess.

I thought they were both the same size but I see there is a longer one?
