So, i couldn't find anything specific, we are Searching for a Replacement for a Friends ZA50G Cylinder, something cool with more Power, and were Thinking about the 50cc Metrakit, how are they and what Power can you expect from these?
Also would like to have a Big finned Cylinder for my Maxi and Would like it to be Cast Iron, so for that i would like to know how good the 65cc big finned Metrakits are and if you really have to Modify the Block to get it to fit the Cylinder.
Metra 50 is a turd. You have to bore the cases for all the Metra kits except the little 65cc for maxi. If you have to keep it 50cc, the Athena is by far the best. Both the piston port and reed valve cylinders rip super hard. If you're willing to bore cases and get a big boy cylinder you really can't go wrong with the euro kit.
So you even have to Bore the Block out for the 50cc? Also for the 65? We want to stay at 50cc because the ZA50G fits Cylinders with more than 38mm of Bore, but not Pistons of more than maybe 40~41mm. Might just go for a 1KW Supermaxi Cylinder and Head, they already do 45 with a 12mm Bing and Normal Exhaust.
use cling wrap and playdoh to block off the crank/cases and grind the nubs off with a Dremel.
I just hit it out with a Hammer and Chisel, so would, even if Treadland says otherwhise, a 65cc Metra big fin Fit an E50 without having to dremel it out to get the Cylinder to fit? The Za50 G won't fit bigger Pistons period, you would have to modify the whole block, its the fan Cooled version of the Za50
No big fin Metra needs the cases bored to 52mm work.

Says right in the description requires case modification to fit into bore.
I know, but i have never heard of a Kit with 65cc that has to have the case Modified, thats why i am asking.
They exist. They just weren't made for e50/za50/z50. We had this one. I really wanted to put it on my minty Magnum but realized the skirt was too big and didn't want to case bore a nice za50 for it.
