I'll chime in as the guy who wrote the treats review.
I put it on a kickstart av10 for a customer. Stock cylinder, 15:15sha, that weird av10 snake pipe that looks like a chamber but might not be a chamber.
I replaced the stator and the yamaha branded CDI box that was on there with one of those treats MBK cdi Le Party's. The bike was timed using the woodruff key, just like it had been before with the Yamaha branded box. The bike ran with the treats including static box, but it didn't rev out as high, jetting was funky and take off was not as good as it was before.
Fast forward, plug this transval box in and I'm back in business. Fully revving out, same take off as before. Too bad it was a kickstart av10, couldn't get a timing light on it, so i can't tell you anything about how far it retards or at what RPM or if there is an RPM limiter on this box, but it worked really well on this stock-ish setup.
i think the real question here is what RPM do you want it to pull at and how far do you want it to pull? :)
