Overpriced Parts /

10+ year-old e50 build, mid upper 50smph, puch Polni 64cc kit,15mm bing, points ignition 14.25° before top dead center timing, tuned clutch with thing springs,

Build has 18k mph on original cylinder 30 k on bottom end in stock OEM bearings and seals but with preventative maintenance ring/piston changes,

And no junk type F fluid but 5w20 synthetic motor oil in tranny,

So many people put a kit on a bike run it for a few thousand miles then blow it up!

But that’s not me! nikasa/chrome bore cylinders to not go out of around like cast iron lined ones, you can get 20 K miles out of a kit if you change rings and pistons and you’re supposed with mileage recommendations,

I mean I keep up with 90-100 cc enduro bikes on streets (not dirt though) with a 40 year old maxi that has a 64cc puch Polini kit that was built 12 seasons ago,

there are so many dumies out here that don’t understand , pull your cylinder and check clearances 3 to 5kmi and change the parts instead of buying kit after kit after kit!

What are the square tabs on your lower fork tubes ?

And , why isn't there a single soul on the beach ? ;)

Tabs are for a fork brace I haven't finished. Trying to bend half inch steel isn't as easy as I thought it would be...

I ran my bike in the nude to scare everyone away so I could get a nice picture! HA!

Nah, it was a cold evening and the tourists weren't having it.

Maybe try map gas on that steel . Get it reddish and you'll be able to place it at will .

I figured there probably aren't many tourists left to pollute the beach .

I've been along that beach a few times . I use to take a break there when on my photo route back in the 90s .

I've got a Oxy/Acetylene torch at work I'm going to try and get it cherry, hopefully it'll bend nice.

Really you've been through lil ol Manistee on Michigan's west coast? That's pretty cool!

That oxy set up will get 'er done .

And , yeah , the West side of Michigan was my stomping ground for most of my life . I was born in the back of a grocery store , in a little farm town , SW of GR . Grew up 6 miles from there and after the USAF , lived in NE GR for about 20 years .

Manistee is the place I rec'd my last traffic citation . 35 in a 25 . :( LOL

Oh yeah, back in the day when manistee had a state trooper post, tribal, sheriff, and city posts. Bound to get a ticket for something!!

Thanks for your service. I spent some time in the Army.
