It is actually Toyota something or another. I don’t know what it actually is but a friend of mine who worked for Toyota gave it to me years ago. They use it on motors where there will be a metal on metal seal with out a gasket. Idk it have used the same tube for a bunch of e50 builds over the years. Seems to work great. I had to use a sticker cleanup wheel to get it off.
Just a thought, but it seems like the excess load from being geared out must be
hard on the bearings to be that bad so quick.
Ya it may have been, high stall and stress from turning larger gearing. I was also wondering about the KS mechanism putting stress on the crank. I still think the culprit was the blown clutches. It was gritty gravey in there a few times. The main gear bearings had free play too. I don’t know tho, we will see what happens this go.
Did you use the nachi bearings treats sells?
I did use Nachi bearings. A friend of mine works for a bearing distributor. I belive they are the same kind. I also used them on the rebuild. I I did get the snap ring bearing this time from DOS caus it was easier than calling in a favor for one bearing.
