Man is there a lot of bad info out there!
Fuel does not go bad after a month, no need to add stabilizer if fuel will sit for a month or two. In fact, stabilizer if left too long in fuel will cause issues itself.
When I store my car for the winter, I never use stabilizer! Never an issue either when I start it up in the spring.
I also buy a five gallon gas can when it runs out and then continue to use it for months at a time until it runs out. The fuel never goes bad until I refill it months later.
I also just let both my mopeds sit all winter with fuel in the tank and both started right up days ago. Both had their carbs run out of fuel though and that's the key!
With the amount of people her NOT using air filters on their carbs, those people are just asking for many carb cleans a season.
