Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Either is that pipe

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Why destroy Aprilia parts to put on an FA?

Also, there is no way you will hog out an FA50 case to flow a 24mm carb anyway.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Neither is a circuit pipe.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Brent, that pipe is not gonna make the power u r needing to run 70.

Not kidding, more like a 'Let's see what happens if I try it'

Thank you

This is a classic case of 'just gotta use what you have'. Although I definitely am willing to weld better cases and top end from a different bike (that WILL properly flow a 24mm carb) onto the Suzuki transmission. But for now I want to stick with that drivetrain and tire setup. And unless you can find me a 2.95" wide x 20.16" OD F/R universal 14" street tire I plan to stick with the Shinko's for now (it's like a 75/105-14 in metric). 70/110-14 is the closest, with 80/100-14 being next closest but I can't find anything in those sizes. Help me if you can

Hahaha I did all that in flat view

Look a little closer to see why there's 3 posts...

I see . It just looked like you were using threaded view . Sorry .

It's cool, I did that so the three different posters criticizing my pipe choice only had to click one button each (the quote button) to reply their answer to their individual question. I figured that way it'd be the most understandable for everyone who reads the thread

Not criticizing, just explaining the facts. I have had that pipe.

If it was a case of "just gotta use what you have," then you wouldn't be buying parts.

If you are willing to weld a different case-half to the trans, I would think you would be ready to relace a more accessible rim onto the fa50 hub to your land speed bike. In addition, you definitely will no fit a 3" wide tire on that rim without hitting the cases.

This is a great attempt at doing something cool. But honestly, this bike will never break 40mph. The FA50's final drive ratio just won't allow it.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Also something to think about....skinny smooth tires have less rolling resistance.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

yeah the powerband of that pipe is super low so you wont even be getting the most out of the already very limited transmission ratio.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Dude,

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Make a couple of them flying rims that u invented. Duhhh

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Found another Shinko, 80/100-14 this time but an actual rear tire that's .20" wider than the SR241. Should fit by my measure...

I'd love to lace a 16" rim on but can't find any. 28 spoke, not sure of the hub diameter or spoke length. And I can GUARANTEE the bike will break 40mph, because if it can't support the 70mph gearing I'll swap the FZ50 final drive ratio in and run 40+ all day. I don't get what the big deal is about this

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Is this your hooverped? The guy says it has transforming parts, propeller swinging around bags, actuators, a REAL shit for brains

Sideways engine pivot “paddle mode” case it gets stuck in a puddle. He thunk everything dude..

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Brent, I have this 28 spoke wheel u seek, 16” rim with a 2.75 pirelli tire on it, shim it out if u have to. Spokes are prolly the right length to fit.

Brent, here it is, let me know. 2.75 prolly hits the 2.5hp stock engine, cut it out of the way.

How much? Hub diameter? Shipping to 46373?

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

This FA hardtail creation of yours is cool. Basically same as mine just not flipped frame. Tell me more

I’ll check that postage and p.m. Heck yeah I hope it works out.

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

It’s 115mm or 4-1/2” centers in the pic.

It looks like a 100mm diameter will lace right up with these spokes. Ya know, swing it in a fuzz.

5-1/2 beers in this crop plus another 3+ outside from the original. Is that from the joy of just riding the dang thing all day? Haha

Re: Fastest Suzuki FA50? Hoping to hit 70mph

Did you already know the FA wheels were 100mm?

Jacob Westphal /

Mxs racing makes a jug that makes 31hp with their pipe according to the Dyno sheet provided. I am using one on my 103 based prototype bike.

kit minus carb.

Check it out dood do something else for a frame tho like forreal
