Puch gila piston ring gap?

I tried searching for it. Gave up. Looking for a good method to figure how far to gap rings.

Re: Puch gila piston ring gap?

Put the ring halfway in the cylinder. Make sure it’s level by putting the piston in the bore and touching the ring. Use a feeler to check the gap.

There’s a wiki page about ring gap. Use the chart listed on there.

Use very fine sandpaper (~400) to remove any material evenly from both sides of the ring. Check verrrry often
