check out this dumb ideaR, i cut some plates to hold a 96cc snow blower engine onto the hobbit subframe. Took about 3 hours to getem all drawn out. I know, it’s dumb but a friend wanted to dick around with it.
96cc tecumseh. Killer compression!
I like this ideaR. I welded up one of those on a 16" BMX bike. It's a blast.
I hope to see this project continue to completion.
What are your thoughts on the power this might actually make? I know it's larger displacement and the torque will be substantial, but generally 2 stroke engines built for equipment have much lower peak output and at a lower RPM as well. I get that it was a "hey this looks fun" but I hope it doesn't come out anticlimactic.
^ Of course this thing will kick ass, it's in the performance forum.
Scooter is smart and powerful as a rampaging bull.
Better put race gears on that rear end
Good to see ya back in the build game. Beautiful
The angles of everything go together like some sort of hyper sport bike wet dream.
Go with the grande frame !
So would it be called a Grobbit?
I heard a couple guys got killed with snowmobile stuff.
Someone should stop this guy.

Well it appears to be up to Darwin at this point.
you gonna run both tanks? did you vent the rear half for the grande tank?
this is awesome!
there was a dude outside of milwaukee that put one of these on a magnum a few years ago, straight centrifugal clutch-huge rear sprocket- minibike style
he never brought it out to a ride, but he said it went 50+ and got there quick, i wouldn't doubt it
he also had a pretty sweet pipe hacked on there.
Grobbit GrHonde Hospice!
I’d like to run both tanks, the hobbit tank is almost ready to go. It has been used recently and was acid washed before that. The frame was stripped of the filler bunge and rest of the bungesesss so it’ll need shaping up.
This reminded me of a build I came across a long time ago:
I like your frame way better; nice blending. Also, the Tecumseh makes this far more interesting...Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/14/17 01:20PM by zixor.
The wire feed trigger switch shorted out. It’s a Miller handle hacked onto a Clarke welder. There was a problem with the sheath so I cut off the bad part then stripped it away. Resoldered the brass end onto the shortened cable. Found a moped button and wired it in for a temporary fix. Not bad, it’s kinda like a drill now!
