I recently got back my Honda NU50 from my local service place and its running ok (starts first try) - apart from the initial acceleration. From stop it takes like 3-5 seconds to gain some speed. It easily reaches a speed of around 25mph+ once it gets going.
When I returned the bike back to the service they opened the case and found the inside to be dirty. Possible the belt rubbing against something. The belt is a Continental BX31. I've read that this is 15mm wide. The stock was a 14mm. The belt have I have ordered is a Medway AX31 - similar to the Gates. Once it arrives - I'll have it fitted and see if it makes any difference. I read one guy only using 3 rollers instead of 6 in his variator. Will this make a difference or maybe getting 6 lighter rollers? I'm also on the lookout for a aftermarket exhaust to replace the stock one.
I was wondering if theres anything else I can do to improve the acceleration and performance.
Thanks in advance.
