Malossi too pipe pipe on a V1?

My brother gave me the pipe that was going to go on his kinetic but that project ended up a no go. I know the factory mounts for the pipe are totally different but should I cut an weld a new mount? I know the pipe is high quality but how good is it performance wise?

Re: Malossi too pipe pipe on a V1?

Too vague. Need more info here.

This pipe cut to fit on my V1 motron. Pipe was free to me. Should I go for it or not?

What's up with the v1? All stock? Kitted? Big carb? That's what we need to know.

All stock, probably too much pipe.

Re: Malossi too pipe pipe on a V1?

stock pipe flage cut and welded to the header and new rear mount and a tab in the front to bolt to a cylinder stud with a coupler nut on it. it will rip stock or kitted i promise.

I think it would be dope on a stock v1 since its only a 22mm header

Ditto. I look forward to a thorough report, for the sake of science.

Step one: remove minarelli flange from stock exhaust.

Step 2: grind old weld from your newly acquired flange

Step 4: Weld new flange to awesome malossi pipe

Step 5: grind down inner welds to clean up(more clean up required)

Need to bend the tail of the stinger out a little and come up with mounting brackets but otherwise fits way better than the hacked up biturbo I was running

Looking good, that's gonna hit the spot.

Just a test to hear the sound. Still need to brace it up properly but was to excited lol. Full performance review to follow once proper mounting is done

Never updated this thread. Exhaust was perfect on the stock cylinder. I bored the 12:12 out to 14:14 and upjetted of course. Pipe came in strong around 3k rpm. Wish I still had the bike. One of the Toledo riot guys bought it from me.

Blake Totally a real doctor /

I have the Giannelli badged version on a V1L and it's a really great setup.
