I have an e50 with a 65 hero kit, Polini head, 18mm Mikuni and MLM stock blaster pipe. Jets are now 30 and 70. Timing is at 17 degrees before TDC. Runs very rich.
Any input as to a better starting point with the jets/timing?
thanks!

Be sure the choke plunger is all the way sealed and bottomed out...
look at the tuners spreadsheet
how u got that 18mm carb on there? i mean, i got a 22 on mine, but you gotta do some chopping...
Timing is high, can't comment on the jets in your case.

Mlm makes a vm18 intake for that kit. Pretty much pointless without porting since the hole is like 15mm or something. Also it's not a straight path down.

Very nice for sure but way above my mechanical/tuning ability.
Thank you all for your input.
Here's where I am now. Timing at 12 btdc, 22.5, pilot, Float set at .75". I have "tuned" the air jet and the plug is still a little wet. Waiting for a smaller pilot from Treats.......
