Hi, bit new to mopeds so please bear with :)

I've rebuilt my puch maxi e50 with a 65cc kit and am trying to tune my clutch to suite. I started with blue springs set to open at around 20lb but had to rev the hell out of it to get it to engage. Adjusted them to around 16lb with some improvement but she still struggles with any sort of hill. I have the gearing set up as 14/45.

Next step is to back off the springs a bit further to about 14lb, I seem to remember checking the stock black springs before I removed them were set at around 12lb.

Also wondering if I should drop down to a 13T gear on the front. I live in a hilly town and am not that fussed about high top speed. 25/30mph would be nice though :)

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should be going with this. What sort of force do people set their clutches to start opening? Any ideas on gearing?

Thanks, Mat
