New to me 2001 Tomos arrow...questions

Hey guys

I scored a sweet 2001 Tomos arrow on the cheap. The po made some kids but didn't do it right , here's my issue.

Added a technigas exhaust. Didn't upjet the stock dellarto carb or air intake. Runs like crap.

Can I get some advice on the proper setup needed for this exhaust? Looking for proper jets to run, proper air etc... Trying to get to know this thing and have some fun.

Thanks in advance!!

If you don't up jet you're going to seize and you could have done some scoring damage as it is .

Around 61 jet with black plastic cap and screen filter and performance pipe but you're probably using stock airbox so could be less

Get like 56-62 jet range of jets

Do not run your bike until you up jet it

Yup I haven't took it out for a burn because I noticed the problem. Any type of air filter/intake recommended?

Been told to look for a 60 jet? Should just the main be changed or should all of them be done? I've already taken apart the carb and completely cleaned it.

Yes like I said the black plastic cap with a screen filter that fits into the sha is best.

It takes around 61 jet.

Here's some pics of the current setup

Have no idea what's stock, unknown the carb is.

I know a few of you have suggested proper air filter Etc, if you wouldn't mind providing a brand or link? I know these parts you have to buy all online and I want to buy the right ones obviously.

Re: New to me 2001 Tomos arrow...questions

You probably have an air leak somewhere with all of them clamps.

Probably yup, it's def getting too Much air.... I'm guessing that filter isn't stock.

Why do people just throw shit together makes no sense

What year arrow is that ?

What engine?

That carb is a phva that comes on a a55 engine not a35 engine

Takes 6 mm Dellorto jets

A 60-64 jet size should work but if a a35 reed valve engine it may take bigger then that. (edited)

Its a 2001 with an a55

Fuck me I thought it was a dellarto carb

Should I be making any mods to this airbox or filter?

That's correct sir

Just don't know if I have the correct air filter on here

Been reading about people drilling a hole into their airbox?

Lots to learn about timing apparently the tomos is all about timing eh!

Re: New to me 2001 Tomos arrow...questions

Probably Fred /

That filter is fine

Re: New to me 2001 Tomos arrow...questions

I'm A newbie here, I have an A55 2012 Tomos Sprint, recently changed my stock pipe to biturbo and up jetted only the stock 55 main jet to a 58, bike running great so far added 5-7 mph... Tomorrow will try a 60 jet... Although new here, I definitely learned a lot from some knowledgable persons here and one thing that comes up over and over in order Not to seize engine is : if you change pipe u MUST UPJET! Hope that helps ...
