Interesting puch swingarms?

Totally normal JBOT /

Has anyone adapted other bikes swingarms to puch mopeds?

I'd like to see some cool examples.

Going to maybe adapt a dirtbike swingarm onto my pinto for fun.

Not custom swingarm but a Murray swingarm is a good bolt on upgrade to a pinto/tube frame even a maxi though you will have to mod the rear fender.

3 inch tire fits depending on style and orientation

It's easier to adjust/center the rear wheel because it's more symmetrical then a magnum swingarm

Of course a magnum swingarm is good upgrade too

Re: Interesting puch swingarms?

Think i remember seeing one bolted through the pedal tube/swingarm mount some years ago, it was like an alu dirt bike arm or something. (edited)

Korados are like that

It looks like a Murray swing arm, that was 'boxed in', would be very strong.

Re: Interesting puch swingarms?

A friend of mine is getting a bunch of EBR swingarms in soon.

Believe me it's fine as it is. Way better then a maxi, cobra or pinto swingarm

Re: Interesting puch swingarms?

I've got a Murray swing arm that has been filled in with 18ga steel plate to make it more "boxy". I haven't run it yet, but I anticipate a more stable swing arm, as the stock one had some noticeable flex going on. Jackerz! sold it to me at the end of 2013. At this rate, the bike may be together next year!

JBOT,

I have wondered who and when someone will weld up a beefy aluminum one like modern super bikes have.

I put an mb5 swing arm on a maxi long time ago using the pedal crank hole.

Re: Interesting puch swingarms?

Hey Spencer, did you modify that mb5 swing arm? The older ones ('82) look like it could bolt up through the pedal crank.
