V1 and 12t sprocket

Do I need to grind the case at all to make the sprocket and chain to clear?

might need a larger chain tho... i had to add a link when i went up to a 12t

Re: V1 and 12t sprocket

Didn't think so, I just wanted to verify. Thank you!

Re: V1 and 12t sprocket

I have been looking in to this and read 12t are OK but 13t some chains will need case grinding both will need longer chain. I have been thing about changing rear 42t to 35t when Treatland gets one in stock. That will use same chain but maybe loose some links. If you are using 10t x 42t going to10t x 35t is same ratio as 12t x 42t. From 4.2:1 to 3.5:1 Does your moped pull up a hill OK because you will loose some torque .

with the 12t from a dead stop going up a hill was painfull. If i was already in the pipe it climbed em wth no problem. I ended up going back to the 10 as it is quite hilly by my house (and i dont really need to go faster than 40 anyway).

I rode someone elses v1 at the last rally with an 80cc polini with 10x37 gearing. It was stupid fast.

Re: V1 and 12t sprocket

3.4:1 gearing is the sweet spot on the V1

tomos rear sprockets fit too.

9x31 !

Re: V1 and 12t sprocket

stock bikes like it ~ 4.0 ratio, kitted bike like the ~3.5.

rocking the 9/30=3.3 feels good, but there arnt any hills here.
