Pa1 bell on pa2/aftermarket crank solution. Easy!

Just get a spacer bushing in steel or aluminum (goes in between pa1 bushing and crank)

Pa2 crank has a 10mm end, pa1 has a 12mm end.

So, get a 12mm od x 10mm id x whatever length you can find.

Cut it slightly smaller than the pa1 bushing and assemble and you're set.

Has this been done before? Cuz it's so damn easy.

Re: Pa1 bell on pa2/aftermarket crank solution. Easy!

And honestly, I think even a nylon spacer would be fine since nothing actually spins on it. It's just there to take up space between the metal pa1 bushing and the crank. The stock pa1 metal bushing is what gets tightened against the inner roller bearing and then the clutch.

Or if you're a junk dude like me,

Just drill out a puch 12mm wrist pin with a 25/64 drill bit,

And cut to length.

Or this. Found this black nylon spacer in a box...

No idea what uses a 10x12 nylon spacer tho....

No wobble, tight to the crank and bushing so ya!

Last pic is bushing and spacer. Fit like a glove. (edited)

damn, i wish you posted this 6 months ago, i could have put a stuffy crank in my buddy hobbit instead of a used pa50I one. someone update the wiki please n thanks.

Re: Pa1 bell on pa2/aftermarket crank solution. Easy!

Andy had a better idea that he did.

Better idea than shimming...

Ready?

Motorcycle wrist pin 16x10.

Perfect!

Crf250 used that size.

i have a pa1 bell that i was able to easily put on my pa2 crank. not sure why it worked even though it wasnt supposed to.

maybe the person i got it from did this.

Re: Pa1 bell on pa2/aftermarket crank solution. Easy!

You just have a ton of room between the crank and the bushing.

It's gonna trash your rear bell bearing.

i pulled it off awhile ago but it fits the pa2 crank exactly.

I've been running my pa50I bell on a super stuffy crank for over a year now with nothing taking up that space. The bearing needs to be replaced but that isn't a big deal to me. I would think that nylon 10x12 spacer would be nice just for a little extra piece of mind though. Find a source for them and you could sell a shitload.

Ordered one. Will check it out when I get it and post some pics. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00I1P24OG

Re: Pa1 bell on pa2/aftermarket crank solution. Easy!

I'm gonna actually do the motorcycle wrist pin next,

Cuz one pa1 bell is missing the bushing anyways.

The motorcycle wrist pin thing is fuckin rad.

Well, that tube doesn't fit. It was too large inside and out. I expected to do a little adjusting to the od to fit in the bushing but the dimensions are too far off for it to matter anyway.

These bushings are the correct size. I got one of each and the id and od are actually correct. There are a variety of lengths and you can just chop them down to fit.

Edit: both links look the same but go to two different bearings. wierd. (edited)

I got around to fucking with this again and the 10mm id 12 mm od bushing I linked to under up being 12.05 mm od and the pa50I bushing I'd was 11.95mm so I took it down to 11.94 with a piece of sandpaper and polishing wheel and cut it down to 16mm long to match.

The 16mm od 10mm id bushing fits perfectly and just needs to be cut down to length.
