super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

Here's a late model euro style B jug for sachs. it's a "BX" and is common on the euro 2 speed manuals.

square jug, but "B" restricted.

note the weird segmented removeable transfer walls. odd. Also, tiny restricted exhaust, flat port exhaust mount and flat-to-angled intake port & adapter.

also they came w single ring piston & 44mm (long D-length) crank but are restricted heavily for 30kph.

here's a euro late-model D, besnik was just talking about this coming on a Portuguese SIS w/ sachs motor

It's a "DS" or "DK" designation (the K was for kickstart sachs - same topend)

notice the single ring piston, flat intake and exhaust ports, groove in the fins around where the head would separate

nice trannies, BIG exhaust

enjoy this worthless info.(edited)

That ds cylinder intake looks 50% bigger than d cylinder what size intake does it have. why no pic of the exhaust?

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

thanks for the info will. sachs info is pretty hard to find. usually because no one cares about sachs stuff

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

Looks like a lot of room for improvement.

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

LOOK WHAT I FOUND! Slapped down $30 on this rare piece of Sachs performance :)

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

I have the Ds on my 85 Sachs taxi sweet stock 32 mph.

The taxi has stock forward faced intake and air box.

Taxi also has a mini expansion chamber on the exhaust header.

I have the austisa too

got it used at handybikes for $12

then snagged the piston from treats

Luv the Sachs

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

We had an autisa on a 505/1a once, andres swoops. he rode it for a while. it was always geared rather low, but screamed to 40's. it was pretty comparable to the athena 70 but revved higher

the forward intake rules, i shoulda snapped a photo of that, i got one on my prima.

oh and here's the exhaust on the DS

not fully utilized, and huge mount bolts, still impressive.

What is the point of segmented transfer walls?

Re: super bored... euro sachs pics/info thoughts

Turbulence for less performance?

Might I ask which piston you used? Gotta get one. The kit is 42mm correct so was looking at using a modified Athena 42mm one.

I like how the exhaust gives you more options than the 25mm id of stock d, and not a slip on.
