i have a stock-ish Tomos with Kevlar lined first and second. currently using ATF Type A. i have a stiffer spring on 2nd. Clutches are very slippy and 2nd doesnt engage smoothly when it finally starts to grip. I'll keep messing with springs n fluids...
next im gonna go back to stock spring on 2nd and start mxing gear oil with Type A
its made it through a rally and many moped mondays in its current condition. the kevlar will sustain alot abuse, cork would have failed already.
will cutting slots cause the shoes to engage faster or slower? theres obviously less friction surface, but then the fluid will be able to get out from under the pads quicker...
