za50 initial teardown pics

john cervini /

So i started tearing down the za today. So far things look good but tomorrow is when i will start taking the trans apart. I found that whoever had put the athena kit on used NO gaskets but rather what looks like RTV sealant. I have been told i have a 70cc athena kit so i need to order a gasket set for it.

You could just cut your own gaskets.

Got it and thanks for the help with parts Ken. I have read the wiki on the za50 as well as watched the video a bunch. When you say cut my own gaskets, what would i cut it out of? Is there supposed to be any lateral play in the rod at the crank? Also should i attempt some case matching? Thanks for all the help.

Don't cut case or clutch gaskets and yes match
