adding eyebrows to transfers

what does this mean? any visual example? as well as what performance gains from doing such a thing? just for piston cooling? Thanks!

damn I thought mine were ugly

Re: adding eyebrows to transfers

so correct me if im wrong, but this modification is to send the mixture closer to the indexed firing point as opposed to having it all be carried up by the piston?

Re: adding eyebrows to transfers

the modification is done to aid in better cylinder scavenging. it essentially aims the "first" blast of air and fuel mixture towards the top of the cylinder head dome and sweeps out all the half burnt lingering fumes out of the vacant comubstion chamber and out the exhaust port.

It get's you mojo flow moving just a pinch faster.

Re: adding eyebrows to transfers

hmm, and as it seems from the pictures this is a very slight modification? pretty much just angling the top to "shoot" higher up the cylinder wall. on the split transfers, would the eye brow go on the top smaller one? or on the larger one?

you sorta see mine here

Re: adding eyebrows to transfers

There is some documentation but do some experimenting with it yourself.

If you start out small you can see if you like the characteristics, then go from there.
