40t seat options

So I have a moby 40t frame that I plan to use, but I really cant think of a good seat option for the rigid frame. I want to move the seat back at least 6'' preferably. I've seen people just welded the seat post to the front of the seat pan or something like that, but is that strong enough?

On a rigid frame that I hope can be ridden on shitty city streets, will a seat without a spring be strong enough to not break while I'm riding it? The guy that does my welding is a pro, so I'm sure he'll make a strong weld, but I'm just concerned about its integrity after prolonged use and the possibility of falling on my back tire while going 50+.

I put a Lazer seat on mine, and it is comfy as hell.

Wait, what about this seat!

Re: 40t seat options

I was asking more as it pertains to structural integrity. I know exactly how I want it to look, I just don't want to sacrifice too much safety because of my flawed amateur design.

40t can only be ridden 1 way. like a crazy fast bmx bike. you gotta get up and absorb those shocks with your legs. Best seat position Dont move seat back or you will hurt your tailbone. use single seat in stock location and raise it until your legs are in a good position to brace and takes minimal effort to raise up. Then get low or mid rise bars. worst decision in the world to lower and pull back the seat on a 40T You need more upright stance to ride effectively.
