has anyone made a 20mm square port intake?

i have the k star. the intake that comes with the kit is undesirable on a few levels. (difficult to change jets, 90* angle, causes carb to sit awkwardly)

i have a clamp on 21mm dellorto phbg

i was wondering if anyone has made their own square port intake. i have a 90* bend of electrical conduit that fits the carb perfectly, i just need to cut it to size with a pipe cutter. then i figured i'd heat it and shape it to fit a flange cut to match the k star intake port.

anyone have a tried and proven method?

by the way, the carb uses a sleeve to fit the pipe im using

I did one for a k-star and 20mm mikuni. Not a sweeping bend though, it's cut and welded 90's.

any pics?

looking for ideas. right now my best guess is to cut the electrical conduit to create a spigot style carb, then use some auto hose to link the carb to the intake manifold.

i would really prefer it to look more clean than that though.

The easiest way to form the pipe is to heat it in a forge, or with Oxy/Act. and drive it over a tapered square wooden block that matches your manifold. You can then cut/weld up the new intake to your existing intake flange.
