Need a reccomendation on springs and weights (hobbit)

I have to crack the variator open. I'm thinking it's a pretty opportune time for some minor upgrades. Springs? Weights? I'm not confident enough to notch it. What size/color should I get for a little more acceleration/low end power. I have a peoples pipe and just ordered some new reeds.

The magenta colored weights are awesome!

Re: Need a reccomendation on springs and weights (hobbit)

what are these magenta weights you speak of?

Stiffer springs will allow the motor to rev higher before clutch engagement, getting you closer to the powerband at take off. Wieghts will control your rate of variation, for example, to heavy and you will variate to fast. If your going to mess with weights you really should notch the variator. Research it, look at pictures there are plenty of threads on this and how to do it.

Welcome to the world of tuning.
