Running in after fitting new cylinder kit

Hi guys

I have plans of fitting a 60-70cc kit in the near future, can anybody advise me on a run in procedure for the kit? I'm not going for a reed valve, just a normal airsal 70cc or similar 4/6 port.

Cheers,

No. Read the wiki. Do a search. It's all here already.

Do about 300miles of regular moped speeds.

You better not run stock timing it too advanced for a kit.

Set points to 16-18 thousands then time with a timing light to 17 degrees/mm before top dead center on flywheel.

A head temp gauge nowadays is a must for a kitted engine. It will tell you when you reach 400 degrees F which is seize territory.

No amount of run in / break in will help if you run hot from advance timing and lean jetting

Hi guys

Thanks for the info so far, can someone help me find the page on running in? I seem to be having trouble finding it.
