I have a pa50 II with a 70 cc kit and stock carb. if i upjet to 90 what else do i need to do so I don't ruin it
UPJET A PA50 II
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
I'd start with searching the forums and reading about kitted hobbits.
For a start, don't be so certain that you'll be good to go with a 90 jet.
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
plug chops ( i run b7hs ngk)
clean airfilter or replace
test for airleaks
proper oil mix
lube everything
tighten bolts everywhere
where a helmet
don't wear flip flops - this ruins a lot of kits
lots of things you can do not to ruin it, but that takes all the fun out of learning.
when you have your first ah-hah moment you will know what I mean.
;)
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
92 break in
90 wimter jet
88 summer jet
Get new reeds also.
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
remember that every bike is different also, i ran rich with a 90 when I ran the stock carb...thats when u figure it out urself, we can't give u an end all be all answer
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
what pipe? (that matters for jetting fersher also)
I agree though this is prrrrrobably mid/upper 80's to 90'ish ...
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
It's stock for now.
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
You got to lose the stock pipe and get a aftermarket pipe
Keep head temps under 400 degrees. You do have a head temp gauge right?
You may have to retard timing to run cool
Re: UPJET A PA50 II
Buy a pipe and a few jets.
