Replacement engine studs, why you no fit

Jonny Appleseed /

Just bought https://www.1977mopeds.com/product/50593 from 1979 for my A55 airsal.

They don't fit through the jug, but they fit through the head alright. I'm getting ready to drill out the holes in the jug, is this ok/what I'm supposed to do to accommodate these larger studs?

and yes, I'm sure they're the correct studs, I checked the dimensions with a caliper and everything checks out.

A55 studs are different. They neck down to 6mm for the cylinder.

according to the stud kit i bought it would fit A55 though. Would it be a bad idea to drill out the stud holes in the cylinder?

Don't see it hurting anything, I'd say go for it. Larger stud not going to hurt anything. As long as you have the M7 nuts for the top you're golden.
