CNC Machined from Billet
Nice send me one.
wow that is beautiful! insane fer sure
I like where you are going with this.
is that the m48 or m56?
Holy fuck I need to get back to learning solidworks
That or Pro-E.
That's great. Good job!
please use something else.. instead of the dio..
go 250cc banshee. 35mm carb.
Now you know what to design. New e-50 cases with banshee reeds and reeed inducted cases. Just a thought for your masters degree. (edited)
Holy Fuck... ?? If this makes it to production, I'm getting a Batavus!!!
Haha. Holy crap, can you even call that batavus? That looks like "holy shit awesome" with a batavus mounting pattern.
what crank is that? i might be interested, was about to derbi the mobat but this has me thinking haha
Tomos crank. Damn, I didn't think this was really going to happen. (edited)
Accidentally set this image as my wallpaper. I think I'm fine with that.
Pretty Slick! Is that a Dio / Yamaha / Minarelli top end?
● Horizontal Minarelli scooter kit (Hoca 54mm bore)
● Tomos A35 crank
● Puch e50 Powerdynamo ignition (in production - choose your own Puch/Tomos ignition)
● DIO reed cage
● Dual-link primary drive chain to a custom sprocket-clutch (in production - fixed pulley to clutch-pulley)
● Hobbit kick-start (in production - pedal start via clutch-pulley or optional pull start)
Production happens when I get orders. Price is going to be in the Mykitech case range. This may scare many of you off, but I have to eat. Pre-assembled motors will be at a discount.
my god man, i need new underwear, and a scheme to rob a bank.
So basically this would work on anything (Peugeot, Moby, whatever) as all one would need to do is build a parallelogram rig on whatever frame to mount this.
So Walt, would you consider sharing or selling the GCode?... You could even license it in a way that would allow others who have CNC access to cut their own, but prevent those people from mass reproducing them for sale.
My custom Peugeot cases are working well, but they have their flaws and honestly I don't know if I would want to bother doing all that machining by hand again.
How do you cool it, scooter fan and shroud adapted to the puch flywheel?
Mars - It was your case that inspired me. I don't know how much use you'd get from my g code. It is written specifically for the Tormach. You would also need my fixture and know my tool set-up and order of operations.
Basically you can mount any motor to any frame. If what you want is a new Mykitech case, I may be able to help with that. I'd just need to measure the parts.
Waterproof CPU electric fan.
Yeah, but you have the right idea; scooter cylinders! If you're going to make a case from scratch, may as well make it for the big stud patterns of a Minarelli scooter rather than a Peugeot or whatnot.
I've never CNC'd so yeah, I'm unaware of the complexities like those you mentioned regarding tooling and machine specific code. I'm just a programmer with a machining hobby, who happens to be surrounded by students who have access to fucking awesome equipment :)
Y U NO FIT ON HOBBIT
:) that is really cool btw.

Hobbit is next. I need to find an appropriate crank and ignition.
