I've seen several people add piston cooling ports to cylinders (like Crazy Wayne's 13 port K-Star and I wonder how you all get in there to do your work?
Do you have a shrink ray and shrink yourself to 2 inches tall and walk inside to do this type of work?
Or is there a tool?

Those are transfer ports, not piston cooling ports. Use a dremel, and a steady hand.
The small holes in the piston are for cooling.

Also I cant reach some of my existing ports with a dremmel currently (V1s and 505s) so my logic is if I can do that^ I could reach any damn port I want to.

Mars some of the piston cooling ports i cut in pistons mach up to the slot ports i cut in the cylinder walls and become transfer ports that help cool the piston even more.
But what tools do you use for this?
Sharp ones in my modified lath & die grinder setup.
Or was it a mill?
yea wow guys real helpful. I sometimes wonder, an answer would've been fun.
either way, I just about never fuck with transfers in the cylinder. I'll make em bigger at the case, grind exhaust & intake all willynilly, and while I understand how expanding and adding transfers will change things, I'm nowhere near bold enough to take a whack at it.
yet still, i'd like to know what setup you use to do it.

Im not planning on fucking with the transfer port right now. My dremel is just terrible at reaching the port windows.

for $10 its not a bad deal, but if your going to buy a rotary tool new, the best quality for the money is a foredom. I can show you mine next time you come over luke.

Right now I am mulling over ideas on how to attach a chuck to the end of a bike cable. That would be nice.
I prefer to hire the littles over the oompahs. They work for bread.
Seriously, when I port, I mix techniques. Dremel, file, sandpaper. Round file for sharpening chainsaw chain.. Whatever fits and gets the job done.. Sometimes I even drill then smooth up my work with sandpaper.
I pulled like two millimeters up on my transfer ports on my FA50, widened the exhaust port, ported the reed cage, and made custom carbon fiber reeds and hit 35 with stock air cleaner, carb (stock jets), and stock muffler.
A Graham Bell's modifying the two stroke book is a great resource. (edited)
You want to complain? Try porting a 35cc chainsaw.... The biggest issue with any port job is don't nick the bore... The second biggest issue is how far to go...
rat tail files and a good movie.
i used hand files on the hero im still taking my sweet ass time on and it was nice how straight you can make things compared to a rotary. just takes time.
yeah i gotta invest in one of those right angle grinders. those are the nazty.
