Puch Polini + Malossi 4 Petal Sealing/Leak Issues

I have an air leak where the reed block mates to the cylinder. I'm using a motoseal'ed gasket and some trusty blue loctite. I lapped the Polini's intake surface, it looks beautiful.

What in the hell are you dudes doing to get this to seal? I'm going in for another rebuild and I need some protips now that I'm on my fourth go at this. I'm all out of ideas.
