Puch Polini + Malossi 4 Petal Sealing/Leak Issues

I have an air leak where the reed block mates to the cylinder. I'm using a motoseal'ed gasket and some trusty blue loctite. I lapped the Polini's intake surface, it looks beautiful.

What in the hell are you dudes doing to get this to seal? I'm going in for another rebuild and I need some protips now that I'm on my fourth go at this. I'm all out of ideas.

There should be no issues with a lapped intake surface and the following : cylinder-motoseal-gasket-motoseal-intake body-motoseal-gasket-motoseal-intake stubby-carb and torqued down.

Update: I ground down the fins and lapped the intake surface until it was nice and shiny. I made all of my own gaskets with the good thick paper and I used Motoseal on all of the gaskets. I double checked the length of all of my bolts and they were spot on. I red Loctite'd every bolt. It's been leak free since the last build and it ran beautifully during the NYC rally.

Your own gaskets > anything
