I'm running a stock MBK CDI on my 50v and I recently swapped out the stock CDI box for a Yamaha Jog 90 CDI box. It seems to be running just fine, but seeing that I'm in MN and we're in the middle of a shitty blizzard I cant really try it out other then start it up in my garage to verify that it runs.
I'm just wondering if anyone else is running one of these and if it's really unlimited revs.

Im using the same box on my 51v and it really revs, on the stock unit I could hit the limiter down small hills.

Think it's worth updating the wiki with this diagram? From what I've noticed all of the different variations of yamaha jog 50/90 CDIs use the same wire coloring.
Ok, I do know if this is so but I am running the rmz ignition on the pug and it uses the 5 pin big blue box, works great no restriction.
So here is the big blue box for the jogs might wanna look into. If I had a moby cdi I would most of sure you be researching and chug beers :)
Let everyone know if you get it rocking when I plug in my big blue box I down jetted 2 sizes deep crispier sound/tone from the exhaust.

I got one of those blue boxes from the "Da Guy" and it seems limited at about 10,000 rpm I could be wrong cuz that is about all that bike can rev...50cc A3 Tomos..ported!!! tweaked estoril ...A55 external trigger on mag moved /still on key way 15-17 degrees....40-45mph...I'll put simo on and see if it changes...I think JC Cams (hobbit guy) said that "blue thing" was limited I have not verified this maybe JC knows for sure...they claim 15,000 but ? that other box looks interesting ...Race Bannon

Hmm on the center stand I think me and cory had it hit 10,5k, him going up the road he hit 10,2k.
So you are right .. let me know if anyone has figure what box to run.. on these or the 5pins..
I guess I will have to wait and beg naz to sell me a homebrew cdi :)
