Connect the BLUE wire from the Green coil to the RED wire from Treat's Box.

it works on minarelli v1 perfectly. no difference i can detect. i like it better since it condenses hardware into one nice little package
dont run it with points... just connect it to the cdi coil in the magneto (green, yellow, whatever color you got) and run it.
super simple.
did you notice smoother rpms or anything else of that sort?

it functions just the same that the cdi + box i got from ed had functioned...
i used the cdi coil (yellow thing which replaces you ignition coil in the magneto) and plug that into this cdi box and didnt need an external coil
its a cdi. so resistor plugs, smoother rpm, strong spark and no fouled plugs. lights are way better. i always run a voltage reg with my cdi... since i got this one. since my box stopped working after a few hundred miles.
Cool, yeah I am using a BR7HS on my setup... the CDI box for my Minarelli is all melted and shit from sitting in the sun :/ it probably won't last much longer and already after only 3 weeks my idle is total shit... I went down to a 48 idle jet from a 50 and it helped but this is definitely a box issue... everything else is great once I rev it out, wonderful. (and no air leaks all that stuff is good)... plus, since the coil and the cdi box are in the same unit it will clear up my wiring a good deal.
been running this on my wife's NOI all summer. most trouble free ignition ever!
I am not saying the box isn't good.. I have never burnt up a black box.. 1 coil tho and quatto burnt a long time ago...
walt I would sent a replace asap.. if you email me about the doa box bud.. I am happy we have other options tho.. I like the combo box also.. let wiring smooth rev and .. just plain out cool. thanks,ed

i bought this box when i had thought i blew the box on my v1 cdi from ed...
well... long story short... i just had it hooked up wrong. i ordered this immediately before contacting ed... should've just asked him first since he offered a replacement box shipped out for free asap
that being said. this box is a great alternative if you want one less thing on your ped
ok... yeah I actually bought several boxes last winter and tried to get this to work but it turned out my green coil cooked. the box was fine as far as i could tell but the coil wasn't doing shit to make it fire.
if there a next time. I will just get the coils. just for you lil q

I just got my coil/box combo in the mail. I hooked it up per the directions above, still no spark. This make me think that even though my ignition coil is shocking me when I hold the wires in my hands when I try and fire it over.. that it might not be enough to create spark at the plug. Anyone tested the resistance of one of the green coils?
