So I have a treat's parma kit on my 50v av7. the bike runs great! But the exhaust port opens ever so slightly at tdc. I know I will be loosing some charge but will this cause a seizure or something bad?

Gardude - we had been talking about this last year and such - do a search with my name and/or av7 parma, etc. Some people double up on base gaskets (me) others made plates, whathaveyou.
yea I know mick. it runs great! not worried about it unless it is going to cause some sort of damage.
it will be fine.
Word!
Oh yeah you are one of the original Parma guys posting Jesse, I recognize now. Well, wait you are just getting it running now? I know several that just ran it with the port opening like that and I think it was fine.
no I had it running really well. then me and my bro went for a very long ride! ended up melting a hole in my piston. Kit was fine. I have just recently been able to buy a new piston and get it running again. :). Checked the timing and it was fine. still set a stock position. Just don't want to blow this one up again.
I think it is .093 off the top of the cylinder with two base gaskets.
the only damage will be to your top speed and performance. you will definatly lose alot of charge
well it is going way over 50. :)
Was the hole melted like wax or flaky like sandy pastry?
it was from too much timing if i remember from the pics. or the squish set too high
Paul it was flaky! I checked the timing and it seemed fine. I have a base gasket that is now like .5mm thicker than when it blew I think I need to add another one.
