Re:Solo : new carb will not start
I am at a 96 jet right now but it has some bogging out at the top end and some in mid throttle as well. I think I am going to drop to a 94 or 92 jet. It seemed to have the best performance around 92-94 jetting.
As far as the temp solution, I used a piece of rubber tubing from the stock airbox to slide over the stock intake with about 2 wraps of electrical tape over the tubing for a shim. This is a temp mod only ! I am not going to leave it like this, but until I can get a custom intake cast it will have to do.
I tried to take pics but they will just not turn out right.
If you have the stock airbox for a Solo Odyssey there should be a clear tube on it that goes up through the frame to keep the air flow away from the dirt on the road. The side that is connected to the airbox will fit pretty nice as a temp shim for a 15mm bing with a little electrical tape. This gave me an instant 10mph boost with the Puch 15mm bing and the Puch high flow air filter. It sounds wicked too!!! I love it. I can't wait until I tuni it in perfect. I think I can hit 40-45 no problem with an intake and a pipe.
