yeah, the clutch posts were machined down to just about the groove, so there's no friction between the pads and the plate. the brace rests on top of the posts, so you want to take them down just far enough so there isn't side to side play on the clutch arms but not too far that the brace is rubbing on the arm. no retaining clips were used. it's just the arms, then the brace and then red loctited countersunk screws.
