Minarelli V1 CDI, exhaust, and carb suggestions

Hello MA,

I plan on getting a CDI and new exhaust for my 75cc Polini V1. My current set up is stock points, Zen exhaust, 16mm PHBG w/Polini intake, (soon to be) case matched bottom end, and 11/34 gearing. I find this configuration to be very reliable and decently fast (53.4 mph gps), but I am doing an over haul before the 2010 season. This is my only bike, so my goal is to have a stronger-running V1 that is still very reliable.

CDI: As far as I know, there are two available for the V1 (courtesy of 1977 Mopeds):

1. CEV CDI unit, $82.99

2. CEV Autoadvancing Race CDI, $215

With reliability in mind, which would you recommend?

Exhaust: The Zen is nice, but I'm looking to get something optimized for this cylinder and my riding conditions. My gearing is considerably tall, so most riding is done in the lower and midrange RPMs, with the occasional high RPM blast (when space permits). I've been considering the Motomatic Destroyer due to its low/midrange powerband while still having the ability to rev out. Suggestions?

Carb: I absolutely love my 16mm PHBG. Tuning has been nothing more than finding the right main jet. Either I'm lucky or because of it's smaller size, it rides spot-on in all weather conditions. With these modifications in mind, I feel as though the carb might be limiting the advantages. The Polini intake matched the cylinder perfectly, so I'd like to go no bigger than the ID of it. Treats says it has an 18mm ID...can anyone confirm this? If this is so, an 18mm PHBG is in store.

I know this may be a lot to ask, but any info is appreciated! Thanks in advance.
