Grab a new box? Do those have a single pulse out from the stator? I'm really unfamiliar with Tomos ignition systems. In any case, you definitely won't reach that cylinder/pipe's potential if your ignition is cutting you out at 9k, or even 10k. That kit wants to rev. Stay away from the Treats 12v points stator; I've got one and it worked for about two months, after that it's been nothing but trouble. I'd say grab the points from an A35 and drop the front gear a few teeth so they'll fit. With as high as that setup will rev, you won't need super high gearing to still go fast.
