What is the bore liner thickness?? Measure the cylinder skirt where it plugs into the motor. If the jug is iron, you'll want at least 2mm thickness all round to support the skirt. So if the skirt diameter is 51mm, 47mm would be the maximum bore for that jug. -This obviously doesn't account for the distortion of port timing when you do this, so you'd have to go back in and correct the asymmetry and timing issues of the exhaust and transfer ports, but you could view that as an opportunity for more performance.
