I love everyone.
Nash, my case sealant (Permatex Motoseal, grey tube) is my do-all gasket sealer. For base gaskets, I just slobber a little bit on each side, a nice thin layer, then stick it on. I'd have to say it works, I didn't have to add any material on my case matched MK80 large port, no leaks. I hand make all of my gaskets, I don't run head gaskets, except on the Metra, because it's such a pain in the ass to start without one, too much compression. I did mill the mating surfaces on that DMP, that really helped it seal. Also, I use castle nuts instead of regular nuts, I can get a lot more torque with them and don't strip my cylinder studs.
