Ok, so ive been researching this for the past 2 or 3 weeks almost every free chance i get and im still kinda confused. ive searched the forums, read smittys porting guide like 4 times, and read a. graham bells 2 stroke performance tuning twice. im expecting a dmp 70cc kit in the mail any day and i just want to make sure i do this right. I dont want to do any extreme reshaping or anything, just match the intake and exhaust ports and case match basically. and clean up the ports inside the cylinder bore, because i hear they can be kinda fucked from the factory. i think what im most confused about is all the terms being used, like "raise the exhaust port 1 mm" or "lower intake" or whatever. does this mean basically just file off the bottom of the port for "lower" and file off the top for raise? same thing with widen?
and what exactly do you do when you chamfer the ports? im guessing it means make it so its not an abrupt 90 degree turn.
please correct me if im wrong on any of this, and if theres any other good guides out there let me know so i can read them!
whatever, any help would be awesome
