Slower bikes with braver riders scrape knees and pull away from me on turns. Just how it goes...
BBF, this is indeed a problem better solved by working on the people involved.
I once built a BMX bike with huge cushy tires, padded the whole thing in foam, and capped the bars with tennis balls. Safety bicycle? On a long grassy hill, you could wreck it at any speed and stand up laughing - everyone was suddenly taking crazy jumps and chances that they never would have otherwise.
Find a big grass lot, grab a step through that's got some good pickup, and teach your friends to crash.
