I know I'm gonna get called names for this one being a dumb idea or something. But I just got 300mm rear hydraulic ahockson my 2003 lx. Then I realized I have a parts 2008 tomos lx with hydraulic front forks. So I thought why not do full hydraulic suspension. So I was wondering how Ivan shorten the front shocks mAybe a inch or half a inch? I want it to have a slight funny car type stance I think it be kool. I just don't know how to shorten shocks someone help me out please. Thanks. Cc250r

I looked at shortening ebr's in the wiki. Will it work if I do the same on the stock 08 lx forks? And yes I'm from new jersey and I don't have a biturbo. I sold my techno estroil with a blue technigas silencer today.

It probably will. Im waiting till I find an extra set of my magnum inverted springys till I give it a whirl.

I will take them apart today but do you guys think I should keep the stock 2003 tomos lx forks or put on the stock 2008 tomos lx forks?

Man, you should find yourself an older bike that your not afraid to mess up. You've got a ton of enthusiasm and a ton of ideas and what appear to be a couple nice bikes that are too valuable to experiment on.

The 2008 lx I got for free it's just a frame tank fenders and shocks no wheels motor or electrical so I don't care about it.

Slide the legs an inch or two up in the trees and put some clip-ons on top.

if i remember correctly, those have tapped and plugged tops. you'll need to have them cut and re-tapped by a machine shop. shouldn't be too expensive, maybe 30-40 bucks for each side.
