I have run the kit. and it was crazy expensive. and it did cost more to ship it here than the kit itself cost. you can read on my blog all about it.
and..... i already seized the kit.... twice. i'm retarted. air leaks. soft seizes though and extremely minor. there are barely noticable marks on the piston and thats it. cast iron ftw.
anyways this bike has humbled me and what i thought was my knowledge of two strokes, and i'm taking my time with it now instead of fucking up a large investment. i can't tell you how much i've learned in the past 3 months working on this bike and my tomos.
point of the story is that the bike did about 55-60mph (80cc 18mm carb) before i blew a hole in the piston because of the advanced timing (also robbing top speed). soooooo with correct timing, this increased displacement kit, bigger carb, and taller gearing, i'm hoping to be able to do 70mph easily, and possibly 80mph if i want to push the gearing.
i don't think i'll need a super duper pipe to get there though. i will be getting some nice boyesen reeds somewhere down the line too. the thought of the stainless steel ones that are on it now (and have been for the past 30 years) breaking and fucking my shit up is starting to scare the shit outta me.
