Making a closed tranfer port open
Has anyone done this?? It seems like it would be possible, just a lot of cutting. I have a spare #11 that i'm going to start doing some light porting, and it seems like I really cant mess with the transfers on it cause its closed. Would this be worth my time or would I just be better off buying another stock cylinder with the same piston tolerances as a #11? And is the closed transfer ports the reason why the double digit cylinders are better for low end and mid and not for high RPM's?
