porting and port matching a v1

ok so ive done some research wiki search etc. i have decided to take a crack at porting and port matchin my polini kitted v1. The transfer ports seem a little bit different on the v1, than the other motors .they are like little ramps and there doesnt seem to be much meat on them at all? so does this mean case matching them will be a little harder? any tips on what i should and shouldnt do? should i practice on my stock jug ? how about the intake and exhaust ports? and port timing?i have worked in a machine shop before so i understand the basics.I have a drill press and a baby bridgeport,die grinder and various sanding,buffing and polishing implments. thanks in advance for any help in advance .adam12
