Hey kids,
How much work is it to grind down the za50 case to accommodate a 20 or 21 tooth front sprocket? I'm also planning to gring down the oil injection hub, any words of advice?
Thanks

buy one, try putting it on, and just grind away at it until it, with a chain on it, fits. if you have a dremel, or even better, a die grinder, just grind away at the material. simple as that.
i've been able to fit 20 tooth sprockets with chain onto e50s with no modifications. 21 is a stretch. dont know if theres more or less room on a za50 case.
20 tooth won't poke through on a za50. 21t I am working on now and I think it will go through the case and I'm going have to jb weld or think of something before I go further
Hey Rof,
Did you do any grinding on the case before installing the 20 tooth, or did you let the chain do the work?
Grind check grind check . Some chains are thinner but you still need to grind a lot
How about the oil injector nub, ever grind one off the case?
Ya but now I use a spacer for the intake. I have one for sale or you can buy a new intake and cut of the flange and use it for a spacer
