yeah i highly advise against using rtv permatex because ive seen that stuff fail under constant exposure to gasoline. indian head is a shellac based sealer and is way thinner and solid of a sealer than most other products. indian head is also half the cost of rtv and can be found at auto zone. it works great in my experience.
it creates such a good seal you have to use a small amount of effort to pry your cases appart (nothing extreme- just a little added assurance its actually working)
right stuff (by permatex) is an elastomeric (sp?) rubber is the only gasket sealer ide use with constant expose to gasoline. makes a great stand alone intake and base gaskest sealer. believe it or not.
with gasoline nothing is guaranteed, but these two products are all id use as a sealer on a two stroke ever.
