I wouldn't case match it, last time I checked my old non port matched 1978 A3 motor with original seals/bearings accelerated faster than an Alukitted A35 with some port work and a larger carb and I was using a 27T front sprocket. Just get a copper(or whatever it's made out of) E50 conrod bushing, press it in and bam you can has kitted A3. Very very simple. Also the A3 clutches can take more torque from a kit, with an A35 you will run out of the clutch material faster.
